Important announcement:
According to Act No. 361/2000 Coll. on land transport, as amended, every applicant is obliged to apply for the new issue or replacement of a driving license or international driving license, and afterwards to collect it personally; a representative is not permitted as a substitute.
According to the Act above, the issuing of data from the driver registry by the Prague City Hall, based on a written application, is only possible for:
- Persons who are registered
- Other persons or legal entities based on the written consent of the person whose information the person or legal entity asks for, verified by an appropriate authority.

Time limits for settlement
The time limit for the issuing of a driving license for any reason is up to twenty days (the time necessary to process the driving license at the central document office).
The settlement of other matters in the driver registry is done “while you wait.”
